Google Keyboard is the default keyboard in Android 5, Lollipop. By default, its configured to enable vibration on key press. If you are someone who dislikes this feature, here is a simple way to turn off keyboard vibration in it:
Steps to Disable or Turn Off Keyboard Vibration:
- Go to Home -> Settings -> Language & input
- Locate “Google Keyboard” (under Keyboard & input methods) and tap it
- Tap on Preferences
- Turn off the “Vibrate on keypress” option

Facebook recently update added a new feature to its mobile app. The feature loads all links clicked on Facebook to open in the in-app browser as opposed to a browser installed on the phone. While this is faster, it seriously limits what you can do with the open page (for eg. sharing is limited). But fortunately this feature can be disabled.
To disable it, do the following:
- In the Facebook app, goto Menu > App Settings
- In General Settings, you will find the “Always open links with external browser” option. Tap it to Enable it.
- Now your facebook app should behave just the way it did before the update.

If you are using Android ICS or above there is a simple way to keep track of your Mobile Data Usage.
- Go to Settings and select Data Usage.
- Drag the orange line and set it to approx 75% of your allowed Monthly data usage. When your usage crosses this limit a warning notification will be given to you.
- Drag the Red line and set it to approx 95% of your allowed Monthly data usage. When your usage crosses this limit your Mobile Data will automatically be disabled
- Set your data usage cycle based on when your bill cycle starts and ends.
Note: The Data usage of your phone may vary slightly from your carrier’s tracking(this is why we limit your usage to 95% of your quota)
Being connected to Mobile Data constantly is both a drain on your Android phone‘s battery and your finances. Sometimes it just makes sense to switch off the mobile internet temporarily.
Here is how to disable Mobile Data:
- Go to Settings and select Data Usage.
- Here you will be presented your phones Mobile Data Usage
- To Disable Mobile data, toggle the setting on top of the page from ON to OFF.
