How To Take A ScreenShot on Mac

You can capture a Screenshot of your entire screen or just a selected portion of it. The screenshot is automatically saved to your desktop.

  1. Press Shift+Command (⌘)+3.
  2. The screenshot will be saved as a .png file on your desktop

  1. Press Shift+Command (⌘)+4. The pointer changes to a crosshair.
  2. Move the crosshair to where you want to start the screenshot, then click and drag to select an area.
    Note: While dragging the Crosshair, you can hold Shift, Option, or Space bar to change the way the selection moves
  3. When you have selected the area that you want, release your mouse or trackpad button. To cancel, press the Esc (Escape) key before you release the button.
  4. The screenshot will be saved as a .png file on your desktop

Nexus 5 Not Booting: Possible Reasons & Solutions – Updated

UPDATE: There are multiple confirmations that the issue can be caused by using the wrong charger to charge the device. Nexus 5 comes with a different specification of the charger(particularly the cable for charging) and using alternate chargers might lead to the device not charging properly causing the issues.

Note: The solutions explained below can damage or brick your phone. Please exercise caution when implementing them. The author has tried most of these solutions but under expert supervision. If you are not sure about the solution please contact your Google Support

There seems to be a common problem in some Nexus 5 phones wherein the phone switches off and just refuses to start up. This happened to a colleague of mine too and here are my observations and possible solutions to the problem:

Ubuntu Check Disk for BadBlocks & Errors

If your system regularly does ubuntu check disk or scan disks on boot up and if it often finds errors during the check, its highly possible that you have bad sectors on your hard disk.  In such cases its highly recommended to do a disk check to detect if you have bad sectors on the disk.

Use Packrati to Automatically Bookmark your Twitter Shared Links

Packrati.us provides a simple service that bookmarks every single link you post in your Twitter feed. Additionally it even bookmarks links in tweets you mark as your favorite. It also uses any hashtags you include as tags for your bookmark and includes the full text of the tweet in the bookmark comments.

Packrati is a wonderful lifesaver when you are in search of that link you tweeted ages ago but cant seem to find anywhere.
