Google Keyboard is the default keyboard in the Nexus 5. By default, its configured to enable vibration on key press. If you are someone who dislikes this feature, here is a simple way of disabling it:

  • Go to Home -> Settings -> Language and Keyboard

Go to Home -> Settings -> Personal–> Language and Input
Locate “Google Keyboard” and press the settings button next to it.
Uncheck the tick next to “Vibrate on keypress”

What about Android 6…
I tried it through….. setting —-> language & input —–> google keyboard———> preferences ——> vibrate on keypress

But its not working

For the new Android 5, go to settings –> language & input –> under keyboard / input methods, choose second option (google keyboard for me) –> preferences –> vibrate on keypress disable

misc sounds and vibrations . go to settings>sound & notifications>othersounds. disable the things you want to disable(sounds and vibrations for longer battery life)
